How to Turn Any Piece of Furniture into a Wireless Charging Station For $30

Furniture store chain IKEA recently started selling wireless chargers that can turn any piece of furniture into a wireless charging station.
The charging unit retails for $30 and is made by Jyssen.
IKEA also offers a $5 drill saw add-on to create the perfect hole for the charger.
The wireless charger is compatible with most smartphones as long as you buy the right charging cover that costs $25.
Although it’s convenient, Gizmodo points out that the downside to having a wireless charging station is that it’s not good for your device’s battery due to the excess heat it generates.
Here’s a review of the product from iTechTriad.

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.

This is where official reporting and support channels need to be visible and easy to access.

Can NextShark keep a timeline thread here as updates come in? That would help keep context in one place.
