Jealousy, although an unpleasant emotion, rears its ugly head now and then. It stirs up feelings of insecurity, inadequacy and discontent. It’s normal because we’re human, but letting the green-eyed monster consume you will lead to a life of misery and unhappiness.
Russian artist Igor Kalashnikov clearly sees the pointlessness of wasting away energy envying what others have and what you don’t. He whipped up a comic strip to help readers keep jealousy away for good.
Remember, you’re not in a competition with anyone but yourself. As former president Theodore Roosevelt once said: “Comparison is the thief of joy.”
