This 12-Year-Old Chinese Opera Genius Just Got Admitted into College

A talented Chinese student is about to skip several years of schooling ahead of her classmates after passing a college entrance exam while still enrolled in primary school.
Fifth grader Huang Sihan took an independent entrance exam for Anhui Professional College of Art and aced it by landing among the top 10 test passers, reported NetEase (via Shanghaiist). Her high test scores also gives her free admission to the five-year opera performance program at her future college.
The 12-year-old student from Anhui province will be advancing straight to her college education after primary school without having to pass high school.
The young performing arts whiz reportedly spent four years studying Hui Opera, one of China’s most ancient operas with a history of more than 300 years.
It was one of Huang’s primary school teachers who encouraged the bright pupil to take the entrance exam for Anhui Professional College of Art after noticing her excel in the craft.
