The Houston Filipino Street Festival, one of the biggest annual celebrations of Filipino culture in the United States, is set for launch in Houston on Saturday, with early bird tickets now available for purchase.
Mark the date: The event, organized by the Filipino Young Professionals of Houston (FYP), will be held at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas, on Saturday.

FYP advises those interested in attending to avail the early bird ticket at $17, as the price will reportedly be increased to $20 on the festival day. Children aged 7 and under are free.
What to expect: Touted as the “biggest Filipino festival in the south,” the Houston Filipino Street Festival promises an “immersive experience into the heart of Filipino traditions, music, art and delectable cuisine.”
Raffle event: Besides several dozens of food, merchant and corporate vendors present at the festival, FYP is also hosting a raffle event, with the third-place prize containing a bundle of two Houston Astro Tickets, two Houston Rockets Tickets to 2023 Filipino Heritage Night on Nov. 1 and an autographed Jalen Green jersey. The third-place prize is sponsored by the Houston Rockets and Houston Astro.
The second-place raffle winner will receive a Pace 500.2 eBike from Aventon, while the grand prize, sponsored by EVA Air and Panglao Princess Suites, will come with a four-days-three-nights vacation package in Bohol, Philippines, for a maximum of six people.
For a good cause: FYP noted that all proceeds from raffle purchases will go to its funding budget for the group’s annual youth scholarship and project to increase cultural awareness and help support the local Filipino community.
