Oscar-nominated Vietnamese American actor Hong Chau will reunite with Matt Damon in Apple Original Films’ “The Instigators.”
Directed by Doug Liman and produced by Jeff Robinov, John Graham and Kevin Walsh – along with Damon and Ben Affleck’s production company Artists Equity – “The Instigators” follows two thieves who find themselves hiding from the law with the assistance of a therapist in the aftermath of a robbery gone wrong. 
Chau and Damon previously worked together on the 2017 film “Downsizing,” in which Chau played the role of Ngoc Lan Tran to critical acclaim.
The 43-year-old actor has recently been receiving praise for her performances in the comedy horror film “The Menu” and the A24 hit “The Whale.” Chau has been nominated for a SAG Award, a BAFTA Award and an Oscar for her role as Liz in “The Whale.”
Besides “The Instigators,” she will be appearing in several other upcoming projects, including Wes Anderson’s romantic comedy-drama film “Asteroid City” and Netflix’s action thriller TV series “The Night Agent.”
