Aaron Kwok’s Father-in-Law Tells Him ‘I Grew Up Listening to Your Songs’ at Daughter’s Wedding
Actor Aaron Kwok is officially off the market after marrying Shanghai model Moka Fang, making him the last of the “Four Heavenly Kings of Cantopop” to get hitched.
The 51-year-old pop singer and 29-year-old model tied the knot at a super secret and heavily guarded ceremony at the city’s Peninsula hotel on Tuesday where no pictures were allowed, according to Shanghaiist.
The 10-table banquet hall was also decorated with one thousand pink roses.
Kwok’s close friends, singer Julian Cheung, choreographer Sunny Wong and fashion mogul Sham Kar Wai, the husband of former actress Chingmy Yau, were among those who attended the wedding, AsiaOne reported.
The groomsmen wore red ties, while the singer donned a red bow tie.
It was also an emotional moment for Fang’s father, who told his new son-in-law at the tea ceremony before the wedding: “Big brother, when I was a child, I grew up listening to your songs. Now I’m giving my daughter to you. I hope you treat her well.”
Kwok first announced that he and Fang were in a relationship on the Chinese social media site Weibo back in December 2015, according to South China Morning Post.
He took to his Weibo account again on Tuesday to share a pre-wedding photo of Fang and himself snapped by Hong Kong photographer and filmmaker Wing Shya.
The other three biggest male superstars in Hong Kong include Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Leon Lai.
Kwok and Fang secretly filed a notice of intended marriage at the beginning of March, meaning they had three months to get married.
