  • In his marriage proposal, Lim presented message videos from his now-fiancé’s family and friends as well as a video of himself dancing with Singaporean street dancers to the BTS song “Dynamite.” It was filmed in different locations before he stepped out with a nugget bouquet and a Hokkien proposal speech for his girlfriend.
  • Lim, who posted his marriage proposal on his Instagram account, wrote in his caption: “I remember seeing you tear up over a dance proposal video on YouTube, so I arranged for Singapore’s finest street dancers to dance for you, and to your favorite BTS song, no less.”
  • “I remember how you always wanted me to learn Hokkien, so my proposal speech was entirely in Hokkien,” he added. “I remember words of affirmation is your love language, so here are messages from me and everyone who loves you.”
  • Lim and his fiancée Esther Tang were announced as the competition’s winners on Dec. 3. The contest opened from Oct. 25 to Nov. 21, with couples sending in videos of their marriage proposals.
  • “I remember how you secretly eyed that beautiful blue gem, but never dared to tell me because of the price. I want you to know that your happiness is worth any price,” Lim continued in his Instagram caption.
