Here’s How Much You Need to Make to Be in the Wealthy Elite in Your State
How much does it take to be in the wealthy elite? According to a new report from the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute, the amount differs by the state you live in.
One thing you might notice is that getting into the one percent is actually more attainable than you might think based on where you live. For example, you need to make almost $500,000 in California to be in the richest 1%, but for Arkansas, it only takes $228,000. Connecticut, for reasons that are beyond me, sets the highest bar, requiring a whopping $678,000 in annual income for the coveted 1% club.
