Hedgehog and Bunny Cafe Opens in Roppongi, Tokyo

We’ve reported on cat cafes and owl cafes in the past. Now a new kind of animal cafe is hitting Japan: bunny and hedgehog cafes.
Harry Cafe, which is located in Roppongi, Tokyo, opened in February and offers customers 30 minutes playtime with a hedgehog for 1000 yen ($12) on weekdays and 1,300 yen ($16) and weekends and holidays.
Mizuki Murata, a staff at Harry Cafe, told Reuters“We wanted to show people the charm of hedgehogs, which give the impression of being hard to handle. We wanted to get rid of that image by letting people touch them.”
Ms Bunny, which is located next door, is a bunny cafe that offers the same price to for customers to play with a bunny of their choice.
Depending on weather conditions, you can walk a rabbit around the area for For 3,000 ($37).
Both have been very popular and often have lines waiting out the door.
