A delivery man in the Philippines went above and beyond the call of duty after ordering a meal for an elderly woman when she spotted the driver hand her neighbor some food.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Maris Mayol Tian shared that she had just ordered breakfast from one of the Philippines’ most popular food chains when her 92-year-old neighbor saw her with the delivery guy.

“When lola (grandma) saw him handing me my food at our gate, she called him over and asked him what he does…,” Tian recalls.

After the man tells her that he delivers food for a living, the elderly woman began listing her order to him.

“I honestly thought he would just ignore her, laugh and be on his way, but he actually took out his own cellphone, dialed a number, and ordered for her!!!” Tian said.

“There was a time when I hated Jollibee’s delivery service because they messed up a few times, but now I think I’m going to order more delivery from them,” she added.

Tian used the hashtag #KudosDeliveryGuy to end her post, which has garnered more than 224,000 reactions and over 35,000 shares since it was first posted on Facebook.

Netizens praised the delivery man for his efforts.

“GG delivery guy. Faith in humanity restored,” one user wrote.

“The driver had compassion and that’s really commendable 👍🏻,” another commented.
