The 39-year-old actor will play the lead role opposite to Annabelle Wallis in Wan’s super-secret movie tentatively titled “Silvercup,” according to
Variety.
Details about the project, such as the plot and Young’s character, are being kept under wraps.
Born in London, England to a Chinese Malaysian father and Greek Cypriot mother, Young started his entertainment career when he appeared in one of BBC’s longest-running television shows “Casualty.”
He later appeared in Travel and Living Channel’s “Fun Taiwan” where he co-hosted alongside
Janet Hsieh, who later became his wife.
Young trended on Twitter in 2011 for hosting “Million Dollar Money Drop: Singapore Edition” during the National Day of Singapore on MediaCorp Channel 5.
The actor landed his first U.S. television series role in “Containment” where he played the role of Dr. Victor Cannerts.
“Silvercup,” created by the “Aquaman” director along with Ingrid Bisu, will be Young’s first major role.
