A life-sized model of the Freedom Gundam from the anime series “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED” is set to be unveiled in Shanghai sometime next year.
The announcement was made by the Japanese animation and studio production company Sunrise Inc. at the recent Gundam G Meeting 2020 event for its Gundam China Project, according to Hypebeast.

The mecha’s specific model is the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam operated by the anime’s protagonist Kira Yamato. It will stand at 59 feet tall.
Designed by Japanese animator Kunio Okawara, the Freedom Gundam is Kira’s upgrade after the mid-season run of the series, Forbes reported. This is also the most popular design in Japan and around the world.
However, it is unclear if the Freedom Gundam will be a stationary display or if it will have any moving features like the “walking” RX-78-2 Gundam set to be built in Yokohama.
