Best Brother Ever Holds Sister’s Hand as She Nervously Orders Food in Singapore
By Carl Samson
This is the moment a boy stood by his sister’s side as she nervously ordered food at a hawker center in Singapore.
The heartwarming scene, captured by another customer, took place at the Pek Kio Market and Food Centre in Cambridge Road over the weekend.
According to Facebook user Alex Chua, the girl, who was ahead of him on the queue, was tasked by her father to order food herself.
The girl’s father gave her 5 Singaporean dollars (about $4) before leaving the queue, presumably to tend to another matter.
However, the girl became visibly nervous and kept looking around after her father left.
To her relief, her brother joined her in the queue moments later.
“She stood close to him and held his hand tightly in hers,” Chua recalled. “He turned to her and said: ‘Don’t worry. I’m here.'”
Chua added jokingly, “I’m not having sugared stuff today cos I’m all sweet out!”
Chua’s post has received more than 5,000 reactions and 4,000 shares on Facebook.
Needless to say, many users were delighted about the siblings, praising the boy and tagging their own brothers and sisters in the comments.
