Asian Man, 59, Beaten and Robbed by 5 Suspects in NYC

A 59-year-old Asian man was reportedly beaten and robbed in Flushing, Queens last Wednesday.
The NYPD is currently investigating the incident and told NBC News that the victim was walking in “Murray Hill around 6 p.m.” when “five male suspects” attacked him.
According to the Flushing Post, the NYPD said the man was around the 146-17 32nd Ave. area where the suspects broke his nose and left him with “facial fractures.” They stole his wallet and fled “southbound along 146th Street.”
The victim was taken to the New York-Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.
The suspects have not been identified, their motives are unknown, and the NYPD did not provide any further details. No other information on the group’s ethnicities or ages is currently available.
A statement from the NYPD to NextShark confirmed that the victim’s ethnicity was “Asian.
