An Air Asia flight attendant has gone viral for singing Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” to passengers after his plane’s in-flight entertainment failed.
“Perfect” karaoke: TikTok user Ashleigh Webster (@_ashwebster) was on a flight from Cambodia to Vietnam when she filmed the flight attendant singing over the intercom.
In the TikTok user’s viral video, which was uploaded on July 4, the cabin crew member can be seen standing and swaying as he holds the microphone close to his mouth and sings. Before the 58-second video ends, he encourages the passengers to join in, to which they start cheering him on and swaying their hands in the air.
“I’ve never been so confused and so happy at once,” Webster wrote in her post’s caption.
Reactions: Webster’s TikTok video has garnered over 2 million views and more than 200,000 likes. Viewers praised the cabin crew member and expressed their support in the clip’s comment section.
“He has no business performing to anybody but at the same time I love him and hope he thrives,” one user said.
“He didn’t have to bless you guys like this. AirAsia hosts are some of funniest people I’ve met,” another user wrote.
“It was his moment of glory,” Expedia’s official TikTok account commented.

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.

This is where official reporting and support channels need to be visible and easy to access.

Can NextShark keep a timeline thread here as updates come in? That would help keep context in one place.
