K-pop girl group FIFTY FIFTY have recently released a brand new song for the soundtrack of the highly anticipated film “Barbie.”
About the song:Barbie Dreams,” which was released on Friday, features American rapper Kaliii.
According to a recent statement from Warner Music, the song includes an interpolation of Janet Jackson’s 1997 hit “Together Again” and was produced by DJ and production duo Space Primates.
About the song’s music video: Earlier this week, it was announced that the production of FIFTY FIFTY’s music video for “Barbie Dreams” was canceled due to member Aran’s recent illness and subsequent surgery.
About the soundtrack: In addition to “Barbie Dreams,” “Barbie’s” upcoming soundtrack also features songs by Ava Max, Charli XCX, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, Gayle, Haim, Ice Spice, Karol G, Khalid, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, Ryan Gosling, PinkPantheress, Tame Impala and the Kid Laroi, among many others.
The soundtrack will be released on July 21, the same day “Barbie” hits cinemas in the U.S.
About FIFTY FIFTY: The K-pop quintet, which consists of members Sio, Saena, Aran and Keena, debuted in November 2022 with the EP “The Fifty.”
The group’s popularity skyrocketed thanks to their viral hit single “Cupid,” which has garnered over 30 billion TikTok views.
