The man reached this decision to give up the unhealthy habit after the birth of his first born child. He said that he wanted to provide a healthy environment for the baby and maybe even set himself as a role model for his child.
“I would save up all the money that I would otherwise use for buying cigarettes. Every time when the addiction kicks in, I would put away 50 New Taiwan dollars ($1.62). Now, I habitually stash away NT$50 whenever I get them,” he said.

However, the father expressed that even if he doesn’t save up the money, he’d still kick the habit because health is priceless.

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.
