At Chen’s house in Winter Haven, investigators found 132 photos and videos that featured sexual abuse of children as young as 5 years old. Chen reportedly works at the Lucky Wok restaurant in Lake Wales when he is in the U.S.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Sheriff Grady Judd said Chen is currently in China with his wife and children and indicated that authorities might seek extradition if Chen chose to not voluntarily return to face his arrest.
“His family was mortified and worked with us completely when we did this investigation,” Sheriff Judd said. “He’s not in the country at this moment and time. If he comes back, he will be arrested. If he does not come back, we will work with the Chinese authorities.”
According to Judd, Chen also had “baby sex toys.”
“This is disgusting. His family thinks this is disgusting,” the sheriff said. “The world thinks this is disgusting.”
The images found in the suspects’ homes reportedly featured children from Polk County, and investigators are looking into identifying who they are.
