JJ Lin Helped Luis Fonsi Make a Mandarin-Spanish Version of ‘Despacito’

Originally by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, the highly anticipated track features Singaporean superstar JJ Lin and switches back and forth between Spanish and Mandarin.

The Mandarin-Spanish version of “Despacito,” according to Shanghaiist via Medium, has been played for more than 2.9 million times since it was first released on January 26; however, it still has a long way to go before it could can close to the 4.7 billion views that the original version has on YouTube.

Just like its English-Spanish counterpart, this one alternates with the original singer to sing a few of the song’s lines with their native tongue. The two even exchange lines during the chorus, making it seem like they’re singing right next to each other!
