Drunk Chinese Man Dropkicks Elevator Door, Immediately Regrets It

A young man in China fell down an elevator shaft after drunkenly drop kicking one of its doors in.
Security footage capturing the incident shows the inebriated 24-year-old man from Hangzhou, identified only as Yang, briefly fighting with a friend outside a karaoke lounge and then launching a fly-kick into an elevator door, knocking it off its hinges, reports Sina (via Mashable).
When Yang turns back to inspect the aftermath, he trips and falls through the door and down the four-floor elevator shaft.
Staff from the karaoke lounge called police and Yang was taken to a nearby hospital. He reportedly only suffered a broken left leg.

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.

This is where official reporting and support channels need to be visible and easy to access.
