Drake’s $550,000 OVO Jacket from the Raptors is Made by the ‘#1 Bespoke Tailor in Toronto’
By Bryan Ke
Drake was recently gifted an extravagant custom made jacket embedded with hundred of diamonds by the Toronto Raptors.
The Raptors/OVO jacket is said to cost nearly $550,000. It’s made out of fabrics from a French mill provided by Toronto’s Garrison Bespoke, describing it as “one of the first examples of ‘jersey’ cloth from 1927,” according to Complex.
“This is truly a 1 of 1 piece,” Michael Nguyen, the founder of Garrison Bespoke, told The Star. “Both the jersey inside, which Drake himself helped design, and this very special piece of cloth. And the diamonds, of course.”
The diamonds, which are all lab-grown and carbon-neutral, were made by Diamond Foundry. It is said that the company used 235 handset diamonds in the jacket that features Drake’s OVO owl logo and the Raptors’ slash basketball sigil.
Garrison Bespoke was founded in 2007 by Nguyen who comes from a sartorial family background where his mother worked as a dressmaker and his grandfather worked in the fabric trade, according to Frank and Oak.
