Military service won’t stop DAY6 subunit Even of Day from releasing a new single and music video.
The three members of DAY6’s first subunit – Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon – are all serving their mandatory military enlistment. Their new song, “Darling of the Beach,” was presumably recorded prior to their enlistment.

This is the subunit’s first new music project since their second mini-album “Right Through Me,” which was released in July and led by the title track of the same name. The trio made their subunit debut in August 2020 with the album “The Book of Us: Gluon.”
Before his enlistment in October 2021, Young K wrote and composed his solo debut EP “Eternal,” led by the single “Guard You.” Dowoon enlisted in January, while Wonpil, who enlisted earlier this year in March, Wonpil released his studio album “Pimography,” led by the track “Voiceless,” in February.
Under JYP Entertainment, the subunit is led by drummer and youngest member Dowoon. Young K is the rapper and bassist and Wonpil is the keyboardist, synthesizer and visual. They all have vocalist positions as well.
