Actors Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, co-stars of the hit K-drama “Crash Landing on You,” announced the birth of their first child, a boy, on Sunday.
The news was confirmed by Son’s agency MSteam Entertainment, which shared that both the mother and child are healthy in an official statement
Although the baby was due in December, the baby arrived earlier than expected. As a result, Hyun Bin missed the birth of his son due to his current filming schedule for “Harbin” (하얼빈) in Mongolia. The new father has expressed both happiness and regret after missing the first birth of their child, reported TenAsia.

After the successful birth, Son is recovering at a postpartum care center in Seoul.
After starring together in the 2018 action thriller movie “Negotiation,” the couple reunited in the 2020-2021 romance drama “Crash Landing on You.” Amidst the booming popularity of the K-drama after it was made available for streaming on Netflix, the couple announced that they were engaged.
“I found someone to spend the rest of my life with,” Son shared in an Instagram post in February. “Yes… it’s him.”
After two years of dating, the couple officially tied the knot in a private ceremony. Their pregnancy was confirmed months later, with Son announcing in another post that a “new life has arrived.”
