103-Year-Old Woman Beats Coronavirus in 6 Days in Wuhan

A centenarian coronavirus (COVID-19) patient from China has recovered from the deadly illness after getting treatment for six days at a hospital in Wuhan.
Zhang Guangfen, a 103-year-old grandmother, was discharged coronavirus-free on Tuesday, reports Baidu.
Being two years older than the previous recorder-holder aged 101, Zhang is now the oldest coronavirus patient to ever recover in China.
According to her doctor, Zeng Yulan, Zhang recovered after less than a week as she did not have other “underlying health conditions.” However, she did have mild chronic bronchitis, The Independent reported.
Zhang was diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 1 and was deemed to be in critical condition.
Upon her admission to the Liyuan Affiliated Hospital of Tongji Medical College, she found it difficult to communicate with the medics. During her treatment, nurses took turns feeding her and changing her diapers.
The nurses who gave Zhang round-the-clock care and nutrition therapy sessions noted how she loved receiving compliments.
“She would smile and nod every time after I told her she looked pretty,” a hotel staff member said.
Another former patient, known only by his surname Dai, recovered after spending a week in the hospital. Infected with COVID-19 just after his 101st birthday, Dai was discharged from the Wuhan Third Hospital last week.
