A Malaysian mother has gone viral on social media for dousing her son with disinfectant after arriving at an airport amid fears of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The moment was captured at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and posted online by Facebook user Qi En on Monday, according to AsiaOne.

The video, titled “How to prevent coronavirus 101 by Asian mum,” shows the young man being welcomed by his family after returning from Germany, as his mother disinfects his entire body.

Qi En’s mother follows him around with the disinfectant spray. He eventually takes the can from his mother and sprays himself all over.
