Four students at Texas A&M University have been arrested for assaulting and robbing a man who supposedly went to a drug deal last week.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on July 5 in the 1400 block of Northpoint Lane at the Northpoint Crossing apartments in College Station, KBTX reported.
According to the victim, he went to the site to purchase narcotics when four people suddenly assaulted and robbed him. He claimed that he was pepper sprayed in the eyes and hit in the head and back with an axe handle, ABC 13 noted.
Search warrants were carried out at the residences of the suspects.
Police identified the suspects as Megumi Sui (20, Kingwood), Ethan Herrera (19, Houston), Gautham Chidambaram (20, Katy) and Ethan Khwaja (19, Houston).
Sui was arrested first on Tuesday, followed by Herrera and Khwaja the next day. Chidambaram surrendered to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.
All four suspects were charged with aggravated robbery. Khwaja, in addition, was charged with possession of marijuana as authorities found during their search.
