Here’s The Classy Letter George H.W. Bush Left Bill Clinton When He Left Office

The 2016 election is upon us and regardless of which party wins, there will be a peaceful transition of power in the United States.

In 1993, former President George H.W. Bush penned an honorable and bipartisan letter to Bill Clinton before passing on the torch to his successor.

Bush was defeated after running for re-election as an incumbent against Clinton in 1992. As a result, Democrats had full control of the White House, the House and the Senate.

It’s a good reminder that though America may be strongly divided by party lines, there is still respect for the democratic process that the country’s founding fathers set up hundreds of years ago.
