Father Dangles His Son Off a Cliff in China to Get the Perfect Photo

The incident happened at the scenic Hongjing Road in Fangshan district, Beijing, according to Shanghaiist.

 

Footage from the now-viral incident shows the father holding onto his son off the cliff. Although reports were not specific on the exact height of the slope, the road where it happened wraps around a mountain that is 2,969 feet above sea level, Daily Mail reported.

As he was holding his son, another person came in over his shoulder to snap a picture of the shaking boy.

One Chinese social media user called out the father for his actions.

“He doesn’t deserve to be a father! I feel so sorry for the child to have parents like this,” the user said.

After the video became viral, authorities said they are now stepping up their security in the area to prevent a similar incident from happening again.
