An actual “Crazy Rich Asian” wedding in Malaysia earlier this year brought the union of a pair of heirs to two of Malaysia’s wealthiest dynasties.
On Saturday, Chryseis Tan, daughter of Malaysian tycoon Vincent Tan of Berjaya Group, and Faliq Nasimuddin of Naza Group tied the knot again in a more intimate, yet still lavish event.
Currently, both CEO of Berjaya Times Square and executive director of Berjaya Assets, the 30-year-old bride is also a social media influencer with over 350,000 followers on Instagram.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old groom, son of the late billionaire Tan Sri Nasimuddin Amin, is behind Naza TTDI, the property development arm of the family conglomerate.
Their first wedding, which was held at luxury resort The Chateau at Bukit Tinggi in Pahang on February 2, had a guest list that included royalty and celebrities from different parts of the world. That night, Tan wore an elegantly elaborate Yefta Gunawan wedding gown.
The extravagant event even included a performance by the English boy band Blue, which entertained the 1,300 guests at the reception.
They also threw an extravagant wedding dinner reception in July called #Chrysfaliqeverafter Part 2 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition (MITEC) attended by local and international VIPs.

For the couple’s second wedding, they opted for a more intimate affair, inviting only a smaller group of close family and friends as guests.
Held at a Japanese garden in the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto in Japan, the ceremony was filled with flowers and giant lalang bouquets.
This time, Tan wore a custom Oscar de la Renta dress for the main ceremony and a custom Prabal Gurung dress for the reception. She then wore a Chanel dress for the after-party, according to Bazaar.
