A video showcasing a young boy’s frustrations over having to use chopsticks has gone viral.
Shared by the user @sarahultmann on TikTok, the clip depicts a little boy dual-wielding a pair of chopsticks and bursting into tears upon accidentally tearing apart a piece of sushi with the very eating utensils meant to help him eat it.
The comments section of the video was flooded with users sympathizing with the boy over the universal struggle of learning to use chopsticks for the first time.
“That is exactly how I get when I use chop sticks with sushi,” one user wrote.
“For heavenly sake pliz help him it’s so stressing,” wrote another.
Since being posted in April of 2021, the clip has accumulated 12.5 million views, almost 600,000 likes and has been shared over 66,000 times.
A follow up video was posted just a few days later in which the boy gives chopsticks another shot. The boy fiddles around with the utensils for a second without success, but instead of crying in frustration again, he instead grabs the sushi with his bare hands and shoves it into his mouth like a hero.
