Taiwan Burger King’s Chocolate Whopper Sparks Line Longer Than a Football Field

Burger King Taiwan just made its April Fools’ joke a reality after releasing a Whopper slathered in Hershey’s chocolate syrup.
The American brand’s Taiwan branch released the Hershey’s Chocolate Whopper as a one-day offer in Tainan on Sept. 1, according to Kotaku.
A 100-meter (328-foot) line was formed outside the branch after the chocolate-slathered burger went on sale. They were able to sell 506 burgers during the limited-time offer.
The concept of the chocolate burger was started by Burger King Taiwan as an April Fool’s joke in 2018.
However, the original burger was supposed to be a dessert burger containing a chocolate patty sandwiched between chocolate buns along with chocolate rings as a garnish, and a raspberry sauce to complete the treat, Hypebeast reported.
Burger King Taiwan’s chocolate burger has reportedly hit the culinary mark, according to one Twitter user who tried out the limited-time burger. The chocolate syrup combined with the peanut butter sauce helped bring out the flavor of the burger patty, they said.
