On Oct. 23, Newsflare shared a video of a man rescuing a dog whose leash got trapped in a moving elevator in Hubei, China.

What happened: The CCTV footage first shows a small, white dog walking into the elevator by itself. When the elevator doors shut, its leash is trapped in between the doors as it begins to move up.

    • When the elevator doors open on the next floor, a Chinese deliveryman reacts immediately to rescue the dog from being strangled.
    • As seen in the video, the man held the dog and removed its leash.
    • According to the South China Morning Post, a security guard later returned the dog to its owner.
