About the anime: The teaser trailer offers a look into the pulp fiction-esque world of gory violence in “Chainsaw Man,” which is based on the manga series of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
  • According to Kotaku, the anime follows a poor man named Denji, who hunts down devils for the Yakuza alongside his dog-like companion, Pochita. He discovers his power to turn into a chainsaw devil after a near-death experience.
  • In the series, which will premiere sometime in 2022, Denji will explore the supernatural world as the “Chainsaw Man” while he follows the high-ranking Public Safety Devil Hunter, Makima.
  • According to Anime Corner, the anime adaptation is directed by Ryu Nakayama with Tatsuya Yoshihara as his action director. Its music is composed by Kensuke Ushio, who created the soundtrack for Netflix’s “Devilman: Crybaby.” The screenplay is by Hiroshi Seko, who is behind the series composition of the final season of “Attack on Titan.”
  • The “Chainsaw Man” manga will also release its second part in Summer 2022, reported Hypebeast
