Watch a Cat’s Dramatic Rescue From a Singapore High Rise
By Ryan General
A curious cat almost fell to its certain death after it got itself stranded on the 12th floor ledge of a building in Singapore. Fortunately, the furry pet was saved by rescue officers after it was spotted by a concerned neighbor.
The poor feline found itself on the ledge just outside a window and was unable to climb back in, BBC reported. The neighbor who saw the trapped animal called rescue officers who then used a pole with a loop to fetch it.
Some officers also prepared a huge blanket to catch the cat way below the building in the apartment block, in case things don’t turn out well in scooping it.
In the dramatic footage, the cat was shown being successfully caught by the pole after a few failed attempts. The adventurous pet was returned safely to its owner.
According to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, pet owners living in high-rise apartments should keep their windows closed or put mesh screens up to avoid fatal pet accidents.
