A cat in Malaysia remains devoted to her owner even after his death by visiting his grave every day for two years.
The story and pictures of Nana, a 6-year-old ginger cat, were shared on the Facebook group Kelab Pencinta Kucing Malaysia by the late owner’s daughter, Hazlynn Nozi, last Saturday, according to Mothership.
“Nana has been visiting dad’s grave every morning and [she] would just sit down next or even sleep next to his grave,” Nozi told Malay Mail.
After a morning visit to her late owner’s grave, she would return home to ask for food, her paws wet from morning dew, Nozi told Says.
Her father was a teacher who loved cats and was usually the one who fed Nana in the morning before going to the mosque beside their house. That’s where he was buried.
“Nana always followed dad to the mosque and waited for him to finish his prayers before she followed him back home,” she continued. “There was a bond that this particular cat had with dad as compared to the other cats at home.”
Nana was deeply affected by Nozi’s father’s death. She said the cat lost her appetite and some weight after he passed and it took months before Nana returned to her normal eating habits.
“She was better after three months and started eating normally but she would also linger around where dad spent his time — like on the swing which was dad’s favourite spot or even sit on his old car,” she said. “And she has been loyally visiting his grave since he passed away two years ago.”

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.

This is where official reporting and support channels need to be visible and easy to access.

Can NextShark keep a timeline thread here as updates come in? That would help keep context in one place.
