Cat Remains Surprisingly Calm During ‘How to Bathe a Baby’ Demo
A soon-to-be grandfather in Vietnam has gone viral for his wholesome method of teaching his son how to give a baby a bath by using a very calm cat.
The video, which was first posted on Facebook on Nov. 7 by Vinh Quang Phạm. It shows the Ông nội (grandfather) holding their family cat in his hands and explaining to his son that he must support the baby’s head while washing the body, according to Says.
He demonstrated that in order to safely wash the baby’s head, the expectant father must put the child on his lap and wrap a towel around his body so the baby does not catch a cold.
The grandfather told his son to splash water on the baby’s face, being careful not to let water inside the baby’s ears. Throughout the process, the cat’s eyes are seen half closed, enjoying the free rubs it is getting.
The grandfather demonstrates pushing hair away from the face, exclaiming how cute the cat is.
After that, he told his son to dry the baby and put the child to bed. If the baby rolls around and plays, that is not a problem at all, the grandfather wrapped up as his son laughs.
While the grandfather deserves all the praise for being very attentive about the baby’s safety, many social media users were amazed by how calm the cat was during the whole process.
“This cat has got to be an alien impostor. No cat on Earth could be this well-behaved. I’ve had my share of [cat] scratches, so I know,” one comment in Vietnamese read, as translated by The Smart Local.
