A woman in Toronto, Canada allegedly lashed out in a racist tirade against a group of Asians that quickly escalated into a physical brawl and a road chase.
The incident, which was partially caught on video, reportedly took place at a McDonald’s outlet on Yonge St. and Dundas St. West at 3 a.m. on Sunday (EST).
It all started when the woman allegedly gave “dirty looks” to a fellow customer.
“This girl in the video kept giving me dirty looks and staring at me up and down, making me feel very uncomfortable,” the original poster of the video wrote in an Instagram post. “I asked her if there was something I could help her with. She then went on to belittling me, calling me an ‘ugly bougie b*tch, there’s nothing to stare at, you’re a nobody.'”
The unidentified woman allegedly gave the customer “dirty looks” before proceeding to insult her and her friends.
The poster’s friends tried to help, but the woman couldn’t be stopped. Several bystanders also stepped in.
“After some bystanders and my friends tried to calm her down, she told us that ‘All you Asians look the same. One, two, three, four, five (counting all of us),'” she recalled.
It was at that point that the situation became physical.
“When I started to film her, she grabbed my phone and said, ‘Don’t take my photo b*tch,'” she wrote. “She told my friend to ‘come on,’ trying to get my friend to hit her, and when she didn’t, she went straight for her throat. Three wonderful bystanders intervened and told her to stop being racist.”

As if things weren’t bad enough, the woman took it further by following the poster and her friends on the road.
“She took it a step further and followed our Uber in her red Audi and knocked on our window at a red light,” the customer recalled. “She told my friend to ‘get out of the car.’ We drove away and they followed us for a bit, then drove off.”
She thanked the bystanders who defended them against the woman but hoped that others are spared of similar incidents.
“This is insanity and shouldn’t be happening in Toronto. There’s already plenty of xenophobia and racism against Asians happening because of the coronavirus, why is this going on in our city? I’m so disgusted,” she wrote.
“She even had the audacity to ‘hunt us down’ after her whole racist antic, just because we were standing up for ourselves. I don’t believe racism should exist in the world that we live in today and I’m disappointed that I had to experience [it] first-hand with my friends. I don’t wish this upon anyone.”
The clip of the incident was viewed more than 1,700 times before it was made private on Instagram.

Instagram users supported the customer and condemned the woman’s behavior:
“Shame on her!”
“That’s honestly so disgusting! I’m sorry you had to go through that girl!”
“Sorry this happened, can’t believe how hateful this woman is. It’s a good thing you’re safe.”
“Omg hope you are okay! Unfortunately, some people are like that, disgusting and ignorant. She’s only bringing hate towards herself anyway and the fact she followed you means she couldn’t deal about how you guys humiliated her in front of everyone lol”
“This is honestly such a disgrace to have happened in our city. I’m so sorry you had to go through that, and I’m hoping you’re ok? Racism should NEVER be ok, and I can’t believe she even tried to lay a hand on you/your friends. Hoping that justice can be brought to you and have her identified.”
