Japan is Creating a Designer Campground That Looks Straight Out of a ‘Studio Ghibli’ Movie

A picturesque campground that is set to open in Japan in 2021 is nothing short of breathtaking.
Situated in the Uga Valley near Nagoya, the Japanese campground Hygge Circles Ugakei is home to a vast area of forests, mountains and bodies of water.
The location undeniably gives off a fantastical vibe that appears to be lifted straight out of a Hayao Miyazaki film, reports SoraNews24. The Japanese team from the Danish camping company Nordisk designed the glamping-like experience for the project.
According to MSNews, the name of the project is aptly taken from the word “Hygge” which is a Danish and Norwegian word for the feeling of coziness, comfort, wellness and contentment.
The relaxing outdoor ambiance is highlighted by trees and rivers surrounding the dimly lit cottages of the camp.
Campground visitors may stay in cabins or the permanent tents set up in different areas of the site. Based on the released images, it is apparent that the cabins are designed with the “Hygge” concept in mind, while the tents are perfect for a more outdoor feel.
Adventure seekers looking for an escape from city noise will be treated to an enchanting experience, exploring the waterfalls and valleys near the campgrounds before cozying up to a campfire at night.
A mere 50 minutes on the train from Nagoya, the Hygge Circles Ugakei campground is definitely a must-see for any visitor who is looking for an ethereal experience in Japan.
