Video: BTS’ SUGA meets NBA star Stephen Curry in Japan

BTS member SUGA visited the Golden State Warriors’ star point guard Stephen Curry in Japan, where the team is set to play two NBA preseason games against the Washington Wizards.
The Warriors’ official Twitter page posted a video on Thursday of the two global stars with the caption: “Stephen, meet SUGA!”
The two also posed for a photo in which they held signed items from each other.
SUGA, a known basketball fan, had earlier posted a photo of himself with an NBA jersey in the Warriors’ signature blue and golden yellow colors.
Yuta of the J-pop boy band NCT also welcomed the entire team via a video uploaded on the Warriors’ YouTube channel.
BTS member SUGA and Golden State Warriors star player Stephen Curry met in person for the first time in Japan.
The two global celebrities posed together in a video uploaded by the Warriors’ official Twitter page on Thursday with the caption: “Stephen, meet SUGA!”
The K-pop superstar visited Curry during the Warriors’ practice session as they prepared for their preseason NBA Japan Games 2022 match against the Washington Wizards.
In a separate tweet by the official Japanese account of the Warriors, both of them held signed items from each other. The photo showed SUGA holding a Warriors jersey with Curry’s signature and the star point guard holding a signed copy of BTS’ album, “Proof.”
SUGA, whose stage name originated from the basketball position, “shooting guard,” is a known basketball fan. Before meeting Curry, SUGA had posted a photo of himself with an NBA jersey in Warriors’ signature blue and golden yellow colors with “SUGA 3” printed on the back.
Curry shared the photo on Twitter and said, “Love the jersey SUGA!! See you soon.”
In another video posted by Warriors Japan, Curry thanked SUGA for coming to the practice and said it was a pleasure to meet him.
SUGA also met and took selfies with other Warrior stars Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

The Warriors and the Wizards are set to play two NBA Japan preseason games, one on Sept. 30 and another on Oct. 2 at the Saitama Super Arena.
