K-pop supergroup BTS’s official memoir titled “Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS” became a bestseller shortly after its debut on Sunday.
About the book: The book presents a detailed account of BTS‘s growth and journey over the past decade. It is written by Myeongseok Kang, the editor-in-chief of Weverse Magazine, who conducted over three years’ worth of research and in-depth interviews to create the book.
“Beyond the Story” is structured into seven chapters: “Seoul,” “Why We Exist,” “Love, Hate, ARMY,” “Inside Out,” “A Flight that Never Lands,” “The World of BTS” and “We Are.” It is currently sold in 10 languages, including the original Korean and English translated versions. It will ultimately be released in 23 languages in total, with the remaining 13 planned for later dates.
Other notable features: As the book is structured chronologically, it incorporates a timeline featuring the group’s album releases, concerts, accolades and activities, along with over 330 QR codes. These QR codes access additional content, such as music and videos mentioned in the book.
New record: Following its release, the hardcover edition of “Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS” quickly gained the No. 1 spot on Amazon’s music biographies list and the No. 1 on Amazon’s best-selling memoirs chart.
