BTS will return to perform on Korean music shows for the first time in over 2 years
BTS is set to make a return to multiple Korean music shows for the first time in over two years for the release of their new album “Proof.”
The comeback was announced on the fan community platform WeVerse from BTS’ label Big Hit Entertainment on June 3. The notice reads, “We would like to provide you with some information about the KBS2 Music Bank pre-recording and live show participation on Friday, June 17, 2022.”
Pre-recording of the performance will take place on June 10, the same day as the release of their album “Proof,” which was announced in April. The notice also mentions that BTS’ fans, Army, can send letters to the group members at the show.
“Please deliver your letters to the on-site staff, and they will pass them on to the artists,” the note said. “Other than letters, no other gifts will be passed on to the artists.”
The seven-member group is also slated to appear on other music shows, such as Mnet’s “M Countdown” on June 16. They’ll also be performing the “Proof” album title track “‘Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” on SBS’ “Inkigayo” on June 19.
BTS’ last Korean music show performance was for their single “On” from their album “Map of the Soul: 7.”
“Proof” will be released ahead of the ninth anniversary of the group’s debut single on June 13. The album will be an anthology on three discs and feature three new songs: “Yet to Come,” “For Youth” and “Run BTS.”
Army can also follow BTS’ music journey on their new Apple Music show. The group recently visited the White House and met with President Joe Biden to discuss anti-Asian hate on the last day of AAPI Heritage Month.
