After BTS made history for winning Top Social Artist at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, everyone and their mother have been frantically Googling the K-pop boy band.
Following the historic Sunday night win against artists including Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, and Ariana Grande, several fans and celebrities around the world supported and congratulated BTS.
But netizens who weren’t too familiar with the Big Hit Entertainment group took to Google to find out more about them.
When typing in the words “Who is” into the site’s search box, Google’s autocomplete brings up the question “Who is BTS?”, followed by “Who is Ariana Grande?” and “Who is Billy Bush?
While you don’t need to know who the heck Billy Bush is, it’s inspiring to know that BTS has opened up doors for other K-pop artists to break into America’s music scene.
This isn’t the first time BTS has piqued non-fans’ curiosity.
Member Jin went viral on Twitter for his charming good looks after standing third from the left during a group shot on the award show’s magenta carpet.
Netizens flocked to social media to find out who the “third one from the left” was, with the phrase becoming the most searched result on Twitter on Sunday evening.
