A strange new challenge has surfaced in Japan which involves people taking selfies with boba pearls shoved up their noses.
Known as “Boba Nostrils,” this new internet trend challenges people to put tapioca pearls inside their nostrils and keep them there without falling out, according to Now News via World of Buzz.
Many users have been sharing their “boba nostril” selfies online.
It is unclear where or why the challenge exists. Many social media users are not thrilled by the new trend, with many calling it “disgusting and unhygienic.”
Medical experts have warned people of the dangers that this challenge could pose, including suffocation. They have advised not to do this challenge.
