Netflix announces ‘Bling Empire: New York’ spin-off

Netflix recently revealed the official release date of “Bling Empire: New York.”

The upcoming series is a spin-off of the hit 2021 reality show “Bling Empire.” The original show, which features the lives of several Asian and Asian American socialites, is set in Los Angeles.

The New York edition follows “a fresh group of wealthy, sophisticated and hilarious Asian Americans” in the Big Apple, according to a recent press release.

“The quality of real estate [in New York] is measured by address, not acreage. Conversations are direct, not coded. And competition – for love, for money, and for power – is fierce. Billionaires, CEOs, and fashion icons – it’s a city where you can be anything you want to be,” the press release continues.

The eight-episode spin-off was first announced in October. On Tuesday, Netflix shared a new clip of the series. In the short video, Dorothy Wang, who was a cast member in “Bling Empire” Season 2, can be seen trying to catch a taxi.

“Bling Empire: New York” will feature Wang and several other cast members, including Tina Leung, Deborah Hung, Stephen Hung, Blake Abbie, Richard Chang and Lynn Ban.
