Blackpink’s Lisa tests positive for COVID-19

Blackpink’s production company announced Lisa’s positive COVID-19 test results in a press release.
The statement: Lalisa Manoban, better known as Lisa, was diagnosed with coronavirus earlier this afternoon, according to YG Entertainment via Soompi.
  • In their statement, YG also addressed the condition of Blackpink’s other members:” “The other three BLACKPINK members have not been classified as close contacts yet, but they immediately received PCR tests after hearing of Lisa’s positive COVID-19 results, and they are currently awaiting their results.”
  • “We first shared this information quickly and accurately with representatives and staff, and we took strong preemptive measures even beyond the guidelines of health authorities,” they added.
  • YG also reassured the public about the wellbeing of the K-pop stars, stating, “We will continue to not hold back on providing full support with the health of our artists and related staff members as the top priority. If there are any changes in the future, we will once again notify you quickly.”
  • Lisa has yet to address the public directly regarding her COVID-19 diagnosis..    
K-pop boy band “Treasure”’s Doyoung, also represented by YG Entertainment, previously tested positive for COVID-19 in September of this year. Other K-pop groups, including Enhypen and Iz*One also had members who contracted the virus this year, all of whom have reportedly recovered.
