K-pop girl group BLACKPINK announced “Shut Down,” the title track of their upcoming album “Born Pink,” on Tuesday.
The title track will drop alongside their second album on Sept. 16 at 12 a.m. EST/1 p.m. KST. Not much else is known about the album, aside from the possible involvement of OneRepublic lead vocalist Ryan Tedder.
Additionally, YG Entertainment announced ticket sale information for the North American and European portions of BLACKPINK’s upcoming world tour.
BLINK Membership presale tickets will be available for those with a BLINK fan club membership on Weverse, which can be purchased for $23. BLINK Membership presale starts on Sep. 6. Meanwhile, general ticket presale opens on Sep. 15. More information can be found here
Next month, BLACKPINK’s world tour will start in Seoul. In November, the girl group will travel to North America, starting in Atlanta on Nov. 2 and concluding in Los Angeles on Nov. 19. YG Entertainment has claimed that the upcoming tour will be “the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group.”
The quartet recently released the music video for their prerelease single “Pink Venom” – their most expensive music video to date – and also performed the song during their U.S. award show debut at the 2022 MTV VMAs last month. Alongside K-pop groups BTS and Seventeen, they made history with notable wins. During the award show, BLACKPINK won Best Metaverse Performance for their virtual concert and collaboration with “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile,” where they debuted the music video for “Ready For Love.”

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.

This is where official reporting and support channels need to be visible and easy to access.

Can NextShark keep a timeline thread here as updates come in? That would help keep context in one place.
