It’s confirmed: Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted “Theodore” Logan (Alex Winter, Keanu Reeves, respectively) are getting the band back together with the much anticipated threequel titled “Bill and Ted: Face the Music.”
“Bill and Ted: Face the Music,” which is still in pre-production, is set to be written by franchise creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon while Dean Parisot has been tapped and confirmed to direct, according to Deadline.
We couldn’t be more excited to get the whole band back together again. Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean at the helm, we’ve got a dream team,” Winter and Reeves said.
“Bill and Ted: Face the Music” will follow the story of the two high school best friends as middle-aged men with family responsibilities. Despite having families and have already written thousands of songs, Bill and Ted have yet to fulfill their destiny of creating the greatest song ever made.
Now that the fabric of space and time is tearing around them, it’s now up to the two of them to save humanity. Bill and Ted would have to go on a time-traveling adventure along with their daughters, a few historical figures, and some music legends to find the song that they are looking for that will ultimately bring balance and harmony to the universe.
Fans of Bill and Ted have been waiting for Reeves and Winter to reunite since their last Bogus Journey in 1991. This is excellent!” Bloom’s president, Alex Walton, said.
No official word yet on when the production for the third film will begin or when “Bill and Ted: Face the Music” will come out in theaters.
