Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City is the nation’s first, and New York City’s largest, youth mentoring organization. It serves nearly 5,300 youth annually across all five boroughs. Its affinity group, Asian Mentoring Committee, is an organization of volunteers dedicated to supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City by fundraising through events and helping grow mentor interest in support for Asian and Pacific Islander identifying Littles.
NextShark, founded in 2013, is a leading source of Asian American news and culture reaching 15 million people per week on social media. They have been on the forefront of reporting how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted Asian communities and businesses around the globe, sharing community initiatives for recovery, and promoting minority community solidarity against racial injustice.
International Secret Agents (ISA), founded in 2008 by Wong Fu Productions and music group Far East Movement, is the premiere platform for celebrating Asian Youth Culture and its global influence.
Many people might not know this, but despite our large and loyal following which we are immensely grateful for, NextShark is still a small bootstrapped startup that runs on no outside funding or loans.
Everything you see today is built on the backs of warriors who have sacrificed opportunities to help give Asians all over the world a bigger voice.
However, we still face many trials and tribulations in our industry, from figuring out the most sustainable business model for independent media companies to facing the current COVID-19 pandemic decimating advertising revenues across the board.
We hope you consider making a contribution so we can continue to provide you with quality content that informs, educates and inspires the Asian community.
Even a $1 contribution goes a long way. Thank you for everyone’s support. We love you all and can’t appreciate you guys enough.
