Big Bang comeback single ‘Still Life’ debuts at No. 1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart
On April 12, K-pop boy group Big Bang made a big bang on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, reaching a No. 1 placement for their recent comeback single “Still Life.”
The song is the group’s fifth track to achieve the top spot on the chart. Big Bang songs “Loser,” “Bang Bang Bang,” “Let’s Not Fall In Love” and “Flower Road” all previously also placed No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.
The group’s comeback was highly anticipated after a four-year hiatus and also debuted at No. 24 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart in the U.S., a first-time achievement for the supergroup on that particular chart. With their ranking on the chart, they join the likes of BTS, Blackpink and Twice as only the fourth-ever K-pop group to rank within the top 25 of the chart.
“Still Life” achieved a few other first-time milestones for the group too. It debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, No. 9 on the Global 200 chart and No. 19 on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart, which is ranked by Twitter mentions.
The song is also the group’s 26th track to enter the top 10 of the World Digital Song Sales chart, a bronze best behind BTS with 107 and EXO with 45.
