Topped off with a scoop of Baskin-Robbins vanilla ice cream, the new specialty drink is “inspired by Asian milk teas enjoyed around the world,” according to a press release from the brand.

Baskin-Robbins’ Tiger Milk Bubble Tea will be available at its participating outlets nationwide for a limited time this spring and summer.

The company said the new beverage “pays homage to the beloved Taiwanese milk tea that has taken the world by storm, characterized by bubbly layers of flavor and eye-catching streaks of brown sugar syrup that resemble tiger stripes when paired against the kaleidoscope of cool black tea and milk.”

According to Baskin-Robbins’ Vice President of Marketing and Culinary Jerid Grandinetti, the brand decided to add the drink to their menu after their “team of flavor experts found that consumers were craving new flavors and textures from around the world.”

In April, the company also introduced the Ube Coconut Swirl, an ice cream flavor based on a favorite Filipino dessert ingredient – purple yam – combined with coconut.
